NRF905-REEL Product Overview
NRF905-REEL is a 433MHz ISM band RF transceiver IC developed by Nordic, packaged in QFN-32 with tape & reel packaging. It integrates complete RF transceiver circuit, modem and Manchester encoding, communicates with MCU via SPI. It requires simple peripheral circuits and is designed for long-distance low-speed wireless transmission, widely used in industrial wireless acquisition and remote control devices.
NRF905-REEL Key Features
Sub-1GHz Multi-Band Transceiver: Operates in the 433MHz, 868MHz, and 915MHz ISM bands with a frequency range of 430MHz to 928MHz. GFSK modulation provides strong anti-interference capability.
Ultra-Low Power Design: TX current is only 9mA at -10dBm output power, RX current is 12.5mA, and standby current is as low as 12.5μA.
ShockBurst™ Hardware Protocol Accelerator: Automatically generates preamble and CRC, with automatic address matching and data-ready signals. Significantly reduces MCU memory and processing requirements.
Flexible Output Power & Multi-Channel Operation: Output power configurable to 10dBm, 6dBm, -2dBm, and -10dBm. Supports 512 communication channels with channel switching time ≤ 6μs. Features Carrier Detect (CD) for "listen before transmit" protocols.
NRF905-REEL Applications

NRF905-REEL Advantages
True Single-Chip GFSK Transceiver: Small 32-pin QFN 5×5mm package integrating frequency synthesizer, PA, crystal oscillator, and modulator. No external SAW filter required, extremely low BOM cost.
Multi-Band Global Compatibility: Supports 433MHz, 868MHz, and 915MHz ISM bands, compliant with ETSI/FCC standards.
ShockBurst™ Reduces MCU Burden: Automatically handles preamble, CRC, and Manchester encoding/decoding. MCU only needs to send address and data via SPI.
Ultra-Low Power for Extended Battery Life: TX current only 9mA, RX current 12.5mA, standby current 12.5μA.
Flexible Power & Multi-Channel Configuration: Output power configurable to 10dBm, 6dBm, -2dBm, and -10dBm. Supports 512 channels with channel switching time ≤ 6μs.
Carrier Detect for "Listen Before Transmit": Built-in CD function enables "listen before transmit" protocols, effectively avoiding data collisions.
