Description
EG3112 Product Overview
The EG3112 is a high cost-effective high-power MOSFET and IGBT gate drive dedicated chip from EGmicro, housed in an SOP-8 package. The device employs a high-side floating bootstrap power supply design with a withstand voltage of up to 600V, requiring only a single VCC supply to achieve high-voltage driving of both upper and lower bridge arms. Its low-side VCC voltage range spans 2.8V to 20V, compatible with 5V and 3.3V input voltages, and supports a maximum operating frequency of 500kHz. The EG3112 delivers output current capability of IO+/− 2A/2.5A, with built-in dead-time control circuitry and latch function to effectively prevent simultaneous conduction of upper and lower outputs. The chip features quiescent current of less than 5uA, making it ideal for battery-powered applications, with minimal external components required. EG3112 is a versatile and dependable gate driver.
