FAQ

1 What type of product is this 600W power supply module
The 600W High-Power Boost Module is a non-isolated boost module (BOOST) that only supports step-up and cannot step down voltage. It features Constant Voltage and Constant Current (CC/CV) functions making it suitable for battery charging and high-power LED constant current drivers.

2 What are the input and output voltage ranges of the module
The 600W High-Power Boost Module has a default input voltage of DC 12 to 60V and a built-in jumper cap can switch the input to 9 to 16V for 3-series lithium batteries or 12V battery applications. The output range of the 600W High-Power Boost Module is DC 12 to 80V continuously adjustable.

3 What is the maximum output current and power
The 600W High-Power Boost Module delivers a maximum output current of 12 Amps. It is important to enhance heat dissipation if the continuous current exceeds 10 Amps. The output power is calculated by multiplying the input voltage by the current. For example, with an input of 60V and 10A current, the peak power of the 600W High-Power Boost Module can reach 600W.

4 What safety protection features does this module have
The 600W High-Power Boost Module features a 20A input fuse, double short circuit protection, overcurrent protection (it automatically lowers the output voltage when current exceeds 17A), and output anti-backflow protection, meaning no extra diode is needed when charging batteries.

5 What are the conversion efficiency and physical dimensions
The 600W High-Power Boost Module can achieve a maximum conversion efficiency of up to 95 percent depending on the input and output voltage and voltage drop. The 600W High-Power Boost Module dimensions are 76 by 60 by 56 millimeters and the net weight is 205 grams with mounting screw holes provided.

6 What precautions should be taken when using this module to charge batteries
You must first adjust the output voltage to the battery's charge cutoff voltage, then set the current limiting potentiometer of the 600W High-Power Boost Module to the minimum, connect the battery with an ammeter in series, and slowly adjust to the desired current. Please note the charging current will automatically decrease as the battery voltage rises.

7 Why is the constant current range limited
Because the 600W High-Power Boost Module is a non-isolated boost module, the constant current range varies with the load. For resistive loads, the minimum current equals the input voltage divided by the load impedance. In practice, the CC range of the 600W High-Power Boost Module is restricted by input voltage and load limits rather than being arbitrarily adjustable.

8 What are the strict operational prohibitions during use
It is strictly forbidden to adjust the current of the 600W High-Power Boost Module by short-circuiting the load. It is also forbidden to use two or more modules in parallel at the input and output, which will render the current limiting function invalid. Always follow the sequence of powering on the 600W High-Power Boost Module before connecting high power loads.

9 What risks are involved with unstable input voltage or small voltage drops
If a low input voltage like 12V drops below 10V under load, it can easily damage the power MOSFET of the 600W High-Power Boost Module. Furthermore, the 600W High-Power Boost Module is not suitable for applications with a very small voltage drop, such as boosting 12V to 14V to charge a 12V battery, because the high current can blow the fuse.

10 What is the wiring method and reverse polarity protection status
The 600W High-Power Boost Module uses terminal block connectors for solderless wiring. Please note that the 600W High-Power Boost Module does not have input reverse polarity protection. If needed, an inline diode must be added at the input. However, the 600W High-Power Boost Module features output anti-backflow protection, so no extra diode is required for charging.
