The 1200W High-Power Boost Module is a non-isolated boost module (BOOST) with a peak power of 1200 watts. The DC input range of the 1200W High-Power Boost Module is 10 to 60 volts and the output range is continuously adjustable from 12 to 80 volts. The maximum input current is 20A and the output current is up to 18A.

2 What safety protection features does this module offer

4 What are the cooling requirements and usage conditions
The 1200W High-Power Boost Module features a large aluminum heatsink on the bottom and is pre-drilled for a 5015 12V cooling fan. It is recommended to add a fan for forced air cooling on the 1200W High-Power Boost Module when the input voltage exceeds 24V or the output current reaches 10A or more.

5 What precautions are necessary when charging batteries with this module
First set the output voltage to the battery's charge cutoff voltage. Turn the current limit potentiometer of the 1200W High-Power Boost Module counterclockwise to the minimum. Connect the battery with an ammeter in series and slowly turn the potentiometer clockwise to adjust to the desired current. Note that the charging current will automatically decrease as the battery voltage increases.

6 What are the strictly prohibited operations when using this module
It is strictly forbidden to adjust the current of the 1200W High-Power Boost Module by short circuiting the output because boost modules cannot use short circuits for adjustment. It is forbidden to use more than two 1200W High-Power Boost Modules in parallel at the input and output. Always follow the sequence of turning on the 1200W High-Power Boost Module before connecting high power loads.

7 What are the electrical constraints regarding input voltage and voltage drop
The input voltage must remain above 10 volts. Because the 1200W High-Power Boost Module is a boost module, the output voltage setting must be greater than the input voltage. An insufficient voltage drop can easily cause failure. For example boosting 12V to 14V to charge a 12V battery can lead to excessive current and blow the fuse.

8 What application scenarios is this boost module suitable for

9 How to adjust the output voltage and constant current of the module
When unloaded use a flathead screwdriver to adjust the V-ADJ potentiometer on the 1200W High-Power Boost Module clockwise to increase voltage or counterclockwise to decrease it. For adjusting current, first turn the A-ADJ potentiometer fully counterclockwise, then after connecting the load turn it clockwise to reach your desired current value.

10 Is the constant current range the same for all loads
No it is not. Because the 1200W High-Power Boost Module is a non-isolated boost module, the actual constant current range is affected by the input voltage and the load characteristics and has maximum and minimum limits. Additionally, if the 1200W High-Power Boost Module is used to charge certain laptops with built in identification chips, the laptop may reject non original chargers. This is a normal product compatibility issue, not a defect.
